Built for the people
running the comments.
CommentPull exists because copying comments by hand is a terrible way to spend your afternoon. We built the tool we wished existed — fast, private, and free.
The story
It started with a giveaway. Someone needed to pull every commenter from a Facebook post to pick a fair winner — and discovered that the options were either (a) copy-paste everything by hand, (b) pay for an overpriced enterprise tool, or (c) figure out the Graph API yourself.
CommentPull is option (d): open the tool, paste the URL, get a clean file. No API knowledge required. No subscription. No data sent anywhere you didn't ask it to go.
We added Instagram, then YouTube, then filters, winner picker, and Excel export — because the tool should be accessible to everyone, from a solo creator to a brand team.
How it actually works
When you click Extract, your browser makes direct API calls to Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube — not to our servers. Your access token travels from your device to Meta or Google and nowhere else. The comments come back to your browser, get processed in memory, and land in a file on your device.
Our backend only handles two things: your account (email + hashed password) and your session. That's it. We've deliberately built a system where we can't see your data even if we wanted to.
What we care about
Privacy by design
Your extraction data never touches our servers. We've engineered the architecture so we have nothing to leak.
Speed over ceremony
No onboarding flows. No dashboards to configure. Paste a URL, get comments. That's the whole product.
Free, not freemium
No paywalled features. No credit card, ever.
Does one thing well
We won't add a CRM, a scheduler, or an AI content writer. CommentPull extracts comments. That's the mission.
